Annual Bid for Float Blades
Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Road Commissioners of the County of Livingston, 3535 Grand Oaks Drive, Howell, Michigan 48843-8575 until 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at which time and place proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:

All blades shall be formed from open-hearth carbon steel.
All blades shall be punched in a single operation.
The finished blades shall have a Rockwell C Scale hardness of not less than 23 nor more than 35.
The finished blades shall be straight, free from flaws and injurious defects, and shall have a workmanlike finish.
All blade surfaces shall be painted with a rust-inhibitor paint.
All blades must meet minimum MDOT specifications.
Length of time and firmness of bid pricing will be considered in final bid award.
Delivery to be between the hours of 7:30AM and 3:30PM.
The bid price shall be inclusive of all material, labor, equipment, taxes (if any), fuel adjustments, etc., to deliver the product to 3535 Grand Oaks Drive, Howell, MI 48843.
All proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the bidder and a notation indicating the materials on which the bid is submitted.
The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bids, and to accept the bid, which is in the best interest of the County of Livingston.
